Milan provides a dedicated, tailored day care service for ethnic minority residents in East Dunbartonshire, but East Dunbartonshire Health & Social Care Partnership has decided to shut it down from the end of March 2024.
Service users and their families are rightly outraged at this decision.
There is no other service in East Dunbartonshire which can truly meet the needs of ethnic minority service users, including multi-lingual staff and culturally appropriate food and drink.
I am calling on East Dunbartonshire Council to rethink this decision, and retain this much-loved local service.
